Chia seeds are so good for you: they’re high in antioxidants, fibre and omega-3 fatty acids plus low in calories and carbs. We topped ours with vitamin-and antioxidant-rich mixed berries, which are perfect when in season, but the options are endless.

2 chai tea bags
4 cups (1 L) unsweetened non-dairy milk, such as almond, soy or oat milk
3 tbsp (45 mL) Muskoka Mornings No Yolking™ – 100 % Egg White Protein Powder
2 tbsp (30 mL) honey
1 tsp (5 mL) pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup (175 mL) black chia seeds
1/2 cup (125 mL) fresh raspberries or strawberries, mashed  
Fresh berries such as raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries or currants


  1. Whisk milk with egg white powder, honey and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chia seeds. Remove 1 cup (250 mL) and stir with mashed berries. 
  2. Layer the chia mixture among four small cups. Cover tightly and chill in the fridge for at least 24 hours or up to 5 days. 

Tip: This great make-ahead is a cinch to put together and will last a few days in the fridge, so make a big batch and breakfast is done for the week!
