While everyone loves a glass of eggnog, it can be loaded with sugar, fat and empty calories. But not our version! Our healthy, yes HEALTHY, recipe is also quick and easy to make. Not only does the No Yolking™ 100 % Egg White Protein Powder create a creamy and luscious texture, it will also keep you satisfied throughout the day to ward off sugar cravings.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp (30 mL) No Yolking™ 100 % Egg White Protein Powder
2 tbsp (30 mL) maple syrup
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
1/4 tsp (1 mL) each ground cinnamon and nutmeg, plus more for garnishing 
2 cups (500 mL) cold unsweetened nondairy milk, such as oat, almond, coconut or cashew

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Divide protein powder, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg evenly between two glasses. Add 1/3 cup (75 mL) cold milk to each glass. Whisk together until smooth and frothy (a wand frother works really well for this). 
  2. Slowly pour remaining cold milk into glasses, allowing the froth to rise to the top of the glass. Sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg before serving.  

 

Tip: Substitute maple syrup with stevia, monk sugar or preferred sweetener.
Tip: For an adult cocktail, add 1 to 2 oz (30 to 60 mL) rum to each serving.  
Tip: Freshly grated nutmeg offers the best flavour and aroma.
